This privacy policy explains how Accept IT Sarl, publisher of the agenda.cm platform, collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data. By using agenda.cm you accept the practices described below.
1. Data controller

2. Data we collect
- Account data: email address, full name, avatar and company when you provide them.
- Content you publish: events, organiser profiles, comments, ratings, reports and messages sent to organisers.
- Preferences: saved events, followed organisers, email alerts and their filters, language and theme.
- Technical data: sign-in logs, IP address, browser type and pages viewed, for security and analytics.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Providing the service: account creation, publishing and browsing events (contract performance).
- Sending email alerts matching the filters you saved (consent).
- Moderating the platform, handling reports and preventing abuse (legitimate interest).
- Improving the platform and measuring aggregate usage (legitimate interest).
- Meeting our legal obligations in Cameroon (legal obligation).
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. It may be shared with our technical providers (hosting, database, authentication, email delivery) acting on our instructions, and with competent authorities where the law requires it.
Information you publish voluntarily (organiser name, event content, comments, ratings) is publicly visible. Organiser contact details are only available to signed-in users.
5. Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Published content may be retained after account deletion where it is needed for event history or moderation. Technical logs are kept for a limited period.
6. Security
Data is stored on secured infrastructure with encryption in transit, row-level security access control and separation of sensitive contact data. No system is perfect, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
You may access, correct, delete, object to or port your data, and withdraw consent to email alerts at any time. To exercise these rights, write to contact@acceptit.cm.
8. Cookies and local storage
agenda.cm uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and remember your language and theme. These are necessary for the service to work.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated. We will inform users on the platform when a significant change is made.
